Where in the world…

Have I been?  HOTLANTA, baby!

Although, I have to say…  it wasn’t very hot.  It was really rainy and not so nice out.  It didn’t really matter though as I was in a learning state of mind and I had no time for sunshine anyway!

As a photographer, every now and then you need to challenge yourself to hang out with some peers, learn a little more and focus on the business side of photography.  That’s exactly what I did this week – I took a trip to a photographer’s workshop in Atlanta and met up with some VERY talented ladies to learn even more about photography and really how to stay focused (no cheesy pun intended, I swear!) on business.   Most photographer’s are more creative than business minded – although I’m a little bit of both, thank goodness! – and it’s really important to make sure that you’re staying in line!  I got so much out of it, had a great time, and made some amazing friends.

Anyway, no sessions this week because I was away – BUT, I did take a few shots of some kiddos that were brought in for a little demo.  Too cute!

And these are some amazing photographers I’ve become friends with.  Check them out at Erin Carlye Photography (middle) and Lauren Lesley Photography (right) – the only thing more beautiful than their photography is their hearts.  They are wonderful ladies and I’m so lucky to have gotten closer to them this week!  We had a little adventure on Wednesday night, and I’m really excited to show you some images I took – I hope they will move you!  I will post that next week so stay tuned!

the cute little guy in the black hat is my son Griffin. My son Slayde was also a model that morning. He had on a striped shirt with a yellow long-sleeved shirt under it. I would love to see any more pictures you have of either of them. I love this shot you have posted here. If you would like to use it on your website, I would be glad to sign a model release. I would be appreciative of any pictures you would email me!
